Why Create a Platform?
Francis found that the job search, particularly a protracted one, can be incredibly taxing and difficult, especially when trying to break into a new field. Though working through one's network and leveraging relationships is a vital component towards building a career, external opportunities can yield better, more personalized results. But within major cities, with hundreds of opportunities at any given moment with a highly competitive talent pool, it is becoming increasingly difficult to stand out. Enter Ranked Jobs.
How Do We Do It?
We utilize Natural Language Processing to evaluate a careerists's resume and their general cover letter. Combining this with quantitative analytics and a powerful engine, professionals can have access to personalized leads on available jobs. We then leverage automation to streamline the application process, removing the redundancy and busy work that comes with pursuing job leads. On the backend, we leverage multiple APIs to provide to users a high quantity of available quality jobs, within public sector, government, and tech industries.
What Powers This Platform?
This platform is built with Python using the Django Framework. We proudly use MariaDB as our RDMS provider, and using Redis and ElasticSearch for our caching and indexing, respectively. Lastly, we use SendGrid for our job submission automation functionality.
How Are We Different?
Unlike other platforms, we focus on The Professional. Competitors look to build their services around corporate and organization clients. We look to make life easier for the Careerist/Professional. Corporate clients have access to high-end analytics and automation tools. Why shouldn't you? Most Job Boards only provide you with listings. Others provide rank ordering of your application against the crop of other applicants. Most focus only on skill and education matching. We have a holistic perspective on matching candidates with opportunities that extend beyond just qualifications. After all, companies often look for Fit as an important criteria. Why shouldn't you? And why shouldn't this be transparent?
